Wallaby James O'Connor has been suspended for one week by French club, Toulon, following his arrest for drug possession last week.

The 26-year-old met with club president Mourad Boujadallel yesterday and was told of his suspension. The ban means he will this weekend's clash with Brive.

A final decision on his playing future with the club is yet to be made, with another meeting scheduled for next week.

O'Connor was arrested by Police for allegedly buying cocaine and spent Saturday night in a Paris jail cell, along with All Black Ali Willaims.

He was charged with possession, but escaped with a fine.

O'Connorr is out of contract with Toulon in July.
