The 2016 Super Rugby season is going from bad to worse for the Force, with front row duo Pek Cowan and Nathan Charles both suffering injuries in the side's 19-20 loss to the Crusaders on the weekend.

Cowan broke his left arm on the weekend and will miss between six to 12 weeks.

Meanwhile, the club is still yet to receive confirmation on the severity of Charles' injury, after he dislocated his shoulder just ten minutes from full time.

However, Force coach Michael Foley refused to blame injuries for his side's horror start to the season, which has yielded just one win from seven games.

“Bumps are part of the game and we have to look beyond that,” Foley told The West Australian.

“We have a load of injuries, that's the way it goes, but it doesn't get any easier.”
